Introducing the New ARQWELL: A More Connected Place to Learn, Research, and Build
Architecture is shaped by the ideas we can access, the questions we ask, and the people we learn alongside. ARQWELL’s new website brings those connections closer together.
We are building ARQWELL as a growing resource for architecture, engineering, construction, design, and planning: part reading room, part research desk, part learning space, and part opportunity finder.
ArqLib: a reading room connected to the world
The refreshed ArqLib catalog brings together selected books, historic publications, research links, and other AEC resources. Visitors can now explore live catalog searches connecting Project Gutenberg, Open Library, the Library of Congress, and Crossref. These results link back to their original sources so you can follow the record, confirm availability, and check reuse permissions.
Our aim is not simply to collect titles. We want to make it easier to trace how ideas move between books, buildings, research, tools, and practice.
Funding Intelligence: find a starting point
The Funding Intelligence page now includes a live federal grant search powered by Grants.gov. Search by subject, open the official notice, and investigate whether an opportunity fits your organization or research goals. The search feed is distinct from ARQWELL’s editorially curated funding research, which is still developing.
Federal listings are not endorsements or eligibility determinations. Applicants should always check the official program notice for requirements, award terms, and deadlines.
ARQWELL 101: learning in public
ARQWELL 101 is being developed for live lectures, digital design demonstrations, discussions, show-and-tells, and short recorded lessons. The idea is practical: share how we work, not just the finished result. From architectural software and spatial research to materials and project coordination, our sessions will connect tools with the questions they help answer.
The session calendar and related resources will grow as events are announced; sample sessions should not be mistaken for scheduled classes.
Knowledge should be easier to find, easier to question, and easier to put to work.
A foundation, not a finished library
This launch is a working beginning. More source connections, carefully reviewed collection records, learning materials, verified funding research, and member tools will arrive in stages. We will label developing features honestly rather than treating demonstrations as finished services.
For readers, designers, researchers, students, and small firms, the invitation is simple: explore what’s connected, share what you’re learning, and help shape what comes next.
